Saturday night 1982 going to the Roxy nightclub at 515 West 18th Street, the space is large, the music is thumping and the crowd is loose. First opened in 1978 as a roller disco it became the premiere dance club and the place to be seen.
It was refereed to as the Studio 54 of roller rinks in its day. It finally closed in 2007 bringing an end to the mega watt discos of the past.
