Just wanted to share a little information about http://backinthegays.com/. We are a non-for-profit… Which means we are NOT doing this for profit and we’re NOT a legal nonforprofit quite yet.
So, we want to make sure people understand that we started this from the kindness of our hearts. I have personally done some bogus things that I regret in the past to our community. May 17, 2010 was the day I said to Robert W. Fenton that I have to make http://backinthegays.com/ a reality.
So, I can give back to what I have personally have taken for granted. Which was our community. June 17, 2010 http://backinthegays.com/ was born.
Thanks to my little brother (Kevin Ocasio) which designed the site with our help and feedback for FREE from the kindness of his heart. He’s been so supportive and understanding, it’s not his lifestyle and still has continued to be supportive. He host the site for FREE on his server, which is MORE support to our vision and community.
So, for all those people that think we are going to pay for an interview or to have you contribute to spotlighting and showcasing YOUR own history. It’s not going to happen.
This is a genuine project and contribution to OUR community. Just have to clear this up, because it boggles the mind to think our own brothers, sisters and community members would think of profiting from our kindness.
