The 8th Street Playhouse on w52 8th street (in New York City, in the West Village section of Manhattan) was housed in a 1929 building designed by Fredrick Kiesler and showcased mostly great revivals, cult classics, foreign films and the famous “Rocky Horror Picture Show” on the weekend @ 12 o’ clock midnight.
Here’s a video of Tom Snyder and the 8th Street Playhouse where they played Rocky Horror Picture Show at 12 midnight Fridays & Saturdays. If you look closely you can see the webmaster/friend from the blog http://back2stonewall.com from 5:21 – 6:19 when he was just 18 years old (barely).
