One of the oldest video we’ve seen of the Gay Pride parade, looks to take place in Chicago but not 100% sure. Great contribution to our history, relax and enjoy all the eye candy!

The city may be Chicago, but this isn’t the oldest pride footage on your site. That honor goes to the 1970 New York City pride “march”. This footage includes several men and women sporting “feathered” hair; the “Farrah Fawcett” cut didn’t become a fad in the midwest until after the debut of “Charlie’s Angels” in September 1976! It could even pass for the early 80s (when “feathered” cuts began to decline in popularity). Trust me; the late 70s and early 80s was “my” era. Still, this is an invaluable piece of archival footage.
And great footage it is, we would love to hear more about your era (1970s & 1980s). Were you living in New York City during that time? Look forward to reading your post to come, backinthegays.com.
