I’ve had the worst luck with this hideous infection, otherwise known as WebTV, so please forgive me, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna pour my heart out about the days that were only to be blocked by some ridiculous ridiculousness originating somewhere in the bowels of this machine.. and so, if this gets through I will gladly delete it and start fresh, with a whole new attitude and everything! Isn’t that exciting?
I’m not the bitch this machine is trying to turn me into, I promise! I’m almost always patient, it takes a whole lot to rattle me but I swear, sometimes it feels like WebTV exists for one reason..to torment me! Let’s see if this will post…but no matter what happens I have to say that this site is something else, reading about places long forgotten but still alive in the heart has been an emotional journey.
What a great idea, and I know there are thousands of us out there, the old fogies who got down in the late 70′s early 80′s. New York was a very special place back then and I can’t wait to read more of your stories and share a few of my own.
So glad you found us, welcome to our BiTG extended family. Every story, every tale is important to us and we look forward to getting to know you through your shared memories. Thank you for the kind words. Hugs
Robert, thank you for the wonderful welcome, and you are right, we are family! Perhaps when you get a chance to read some of the tales I am about to share you will see just how much of a family New York and it’s gay community have been to me. Hugs to you too…LCM
(If no one minds I think I’m going to post using just my initials for now, only because there are aspects of my story that are really emotional, damning, humiliating and liberating, all at once!
) I’ve been trying to decide what and how much of the story I should post here since I’m working on a book and don’t want to share all my secrets before it’s been completed, but I think I have enough material to draw from without giving everything away….
Yes welcome LCM to our BiTG’s Extended Family and glad you found us. Can’t wait to read more about your memories, experiences and your book? Hope WebTV is treating you a little better today
Hugs
P.S. Thank you for the kind words – Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated family.
I am so happy to have found this site. I was only 16 when I was hanging out at all these great bars in the 1970′s. I thought I was the only one left who remembered these great times in nyc.
